Published on Aug 2, 2018 4,643 views

We just spent a fabulous week in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina filled with lots of outside fun like whitewater rafting and mountaintop zip lining. We took a train ride deep into the Nantahala Gorge, drove the Road to Nowhere and managed some fun shopping and good eating in Bryson City, NC, too. Come on along and add this great area to your bucket list!

The Lawn Care Nut 9 months ago Beautiful area! As a kid growing up in Florida, our summers were spent at Deep Creek near Bryson City. We'd head over to Nantahala every year too. We'd take innertubes down that river and skip the rentals at NOC :) Lots of stares.
