ThaChazo 5 months ago (edited) My bro Quik deserves major props. He was producing hits for death row in their heyday!

    Teeny_African 5 months ago NijahRenee agreed 👏🏽
  • Demonic Sinn
Demonic Sinn 5 months ago DJ Quik only produced a couple songs from Above The Rim and Murder Was The Case soundtracks, and 1 song from All Eyez On Me, with Dollaz+Sense being the most popular/recognized track out of all of them. Good songs but none were "hits".
  • ThaChazo
ThaChazo 5 months ago @Demonic Sinn thats what's on wikipedia bro. He had tons of uncredited work during that time. He said it on interviews before. https://genius.com/discussions/264940-Dj-quiks-uncredited-work
  • Demonic Sinn
Demonic Sinn 5 months ago @ThaChazo I'm not sure what Wikipedia says about that. I'm just going off of what I remember because I was a big Death Row fan back then. I'm not debating other tracks he may have produced that maybe were unreleased or whatever, but as far as "hits" are concerned, the tracks he produced for Death Row as far as I seen didn't make the charts.
  • KaliKlass
KaliKlass 5 months ago @Demonic Sinn Daz gave him Skanalouz when it was just basically a drum track. Everything else is Quik including the talkbox. Thats's Quik on the synth on All About U, which is the catchiest part of the song. He also co produced Thug Passion. And that's only ones that Quik has actually confirmed. He was all over All Eyez On Me including doing most of the engineering.
  • ThaHeadRaider 32
ThaHeadRaider 32 5 months ago @KaliKlass he has some uncredited work on dogg food also

  • Bradley Gaju
Bradley Gaju 5 months ago Wasn't a sample. Youz A Gangxta is quick on the actual melody. He just used the vocals for his hook. There's no seamless transition. Quik made that beat up from scratch. Which is even more impressive than a sample
